Beginning of School Year Mass

Thank you to our Year 5/6 staff and students for preparing and leading such a beautiful Beginning of Year Mass. Your reverence, organisation and thoughtful participation helped create a meaningful celebration for our whole school community. We also extend our sincere thanks to Father Shymon for celebrating the Mass with us and guiding us in prayer as we commenced our new school year together in faith. During the Mass, each class presented their class candle to be blessed. These candles will serve as a symbol of Christ’s light guiding us throughout the year, reminding us to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. During Mass we also prayed for our Year 3 students as they begin to prepare for the Sacrament of  Reconciliation.

Ash Wednesday Liturgy - Wednesday 18th February

As part of our preparation for Lent, our students spent time reflecting on the meaning of this sacred season by writing their personal Lenten Promises. We then burnt these promises, creating the ashes that will be used on Ash Wednesday - a powerful symbol of repentance, renewal, and our journey toward Easter. Father Shymon blessed our ashes at our Beginning of Year School Mass. We would like to warmly invite the St Brendan's community to our Ash Wednesday Liturgy on Wednesday (TOMORROW) at 9.30am in our church.

What will your Lenten Promise be this year—how will you draw closer to God during this season of grace?
