Term 2 has whizzed by for Class 4 – I can’t believe it’s almost the mid-year holidays! It was wonderful to start the term with the first of two Main Lesson blocks on Norse mythology. Students loved hearing the stories of Norse creation with some wonderfully detailed and descriptive retellings written. We have returned to the Norse theme a little this week with the class is learning knot-work to make our Winter Festival lanterns.
We spent a full four weeks on our first Fractions Main Lesson this term as well. After some initial confusion, these new and abstract concepts were understood by most of the class. Finally, we are all enjoying finishing off the term with our Human and Animal Main Lesson.
Learning about some of the fantastic creatures found on planet earth is lots of fun and it has been wonderful to see some excellent drawings feature in students’ main lesson books.
Thanks,
Ella
