Principal's News

Dear Parents & Parishioners,
Sacrament of First Eucharist
Tomorrow our Year 4 students will participate in a Reflection Day with students from the schools across the Our Lady of Pentecost Parish. This day marks an important milestone in their faith journey and serves as a meaningful conclusion to the preparation they have undertaken for the Sacrament of First Eucharist, which they will celebrate this weekend.
The Reflection Day provides an opportunity for students to gather in prayer, deepen their understanding of the Eucharist, and reflect on the significance of receiving Jesus for the first time in Holy Communion. Sharing this experience with other students from across the parish helps them recognise that they are part of a wider faith community, united in their relationship with Christ.
Loving God,
Bless these children as they prepare to receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.
Fill their hearts with joy, wonder, and gratitude. Help them to know how deeply they are loved by You. Guide them as they learn more about Your Son and His presence in the Eucharist.
May this special day draw them closer to You and strengthen their faith. Bless their families, teachers, and all who support them on this journey.
May they always walk in Your light, grow in kindness and love, and find peace in Your presence.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

Allan Family
We are sad to farewell Natalie, Joel, Emmie and Lucy at the end of this term. Due to Joel's work commitments, the family will be relocating to Rockhampton, Queensland.
Thank you to Natalie and Joel for the invluable contribution you have made to the life of the OHR community over the years. You will be sorely missed by all of us.
Semester One Reports & Parent Teacher Conferences
Semester One Reports will go live on Tuesday 23 June. Instructions for accessing the reports will be communicated closer to the time.
Due to the fact that a number of classroom teachers will be away on Long Service Leave during the last week of Term 2, the Parent Teacher Conversations will be held early next term on Wednesday 22 July and Thursday 23 July. Students will be dismissed at 1.00pm on 23 July.
Australia's Best Teachers
At OHR, I believe we are blessed with the best teachers in the Eastern suburbs, if not in all of Melbourne.
At the heart of each MACS’ school are teachers who create vibrant centres of learning – nurturing their students to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
The Australia's Best Teachers campaign recognises exceptional educators in our school communities. An expert judging panel will shortlist nominations for recognition as one of Australia’s Top 50 Best Teachers, to be announced in The Herald-Sun and nationally in NewsCorp publications in July.
Do you know a teacher at OHR who brings something extraordinary to their classroom and community?
