Principal's Report

Principal’s Report – May 2026

SWPBS

The school wide positive behaviour expectation posters you will see throughout the school are a reminder of the types of behaviour expected of students in these spaces. You will see the posters in classrooms, locker bays, toilets and corridors for example.

The positive behaviour expectations will be used in discussions with your teachers about classroom expectations and any instances of misbehaviour. Repeat and serious misbehaviour will be referred to the House Hub and may involve associated consequences. Obviously, violence, harassment, and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

The positive behaviour expectations draw on some of the school values Mr Ballagh has been discussing today. The expectations specifically outline what respect, responsibility, empathy and integrity look like here at Brentwood.

A character strength we value highly is kindness, as we all benefit when we show it and also when we receive kindness. And it’s quite simple. Just be kind.

If at any time you feel unsafe or wish to share a concern it is important to note that you can inform your class teacher, your House Leader or a member of the Wellbeing Team.

We have approximately 1700 people learning and working at Brentwood. As a community, we all benefit when we are clear about how we should behave.  Thank you for contributing to a safe learning and working environment.
