FINAL REMINDER: 2026 Interschool and Intraschool Sport Information (Year 5 and 6)

 

In term 3, Year 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to compete in Interschool Sport or Intraschool Sport. This will occur on Fridays from Week 4 to Week 7 (Week 9 – back up).

 

Students have the option to choose an Interschool Sport, which is competitive and is played against other schools in the district at an outside venue. Each of these sports will incur a cost (the cost of these sports is dependent on student numbers and bus numbers, therefore they may vary).

 

The Interschool Sports include:

  • Girls Soccer (approximately $70)
  • Girls Basketball (approximately $70)
  • Boys Touch (approximately $70)
  • Dodgeball (approximately $70)
  • Cricket (approximately $70)
  • Flippaball (approximately $70)

OR

 

Students have the option to play a variety of Rotational - Intraschool Sports, which they will rotate through each week. Therefore, they will play and learn a variety of sports at Ironside State School with their friends. These sports will incur no cost. The Interschool Sports include:

  • Basketball
  • Capture the Flag/Yoshi
  • Cricket
  • European Handball
  • Futsal
  • Skipping/Yoga

Upcoming Northern Eagles Trials for Term 2.

Note:

  • Northern Eagles Trials are competitive trials for experienced athletes, in that sport trial.
  • Inform Mr Reardon of your student’s interest and he will send you the permission form to complete
  • Submit the permission form electronically to Mr Reardon 2 weeks before the trial date
    • Nominations need to be submitted 2 weeks before the trial date to Mr Reardon 

JUNE

  • Mon 1st: Northern Eagles: 10 - 12 yrs Girls' Basketball

     

  • Mon 1st: Northern Eagles: 10 - 12 yrs Boys' Basketball

     

  • Mon 1st: Northern Eagles: 10 - 12 yrs Boys' Cricket Trial 

 

  • Tues 2nd: Northern Eagles: 10 - 12 yrs Boys' Cricket Trial 2 of 2 (By Invitation)

 

  • Thurs 4th: Northern Eagles: 10 - 12 yrs Girls' Cricket
