Parents and Friends Association
Get involved and help our school community thrive
The Corpus Christi School Kingsville, Parents and Friends Association (PFA) is a group of parents that get together a couple of times each term to brainstorm, plan and run events and fundraisers for our school community.
These events include:
- School Disco
- Multicultural Day
- Movie Night
- Monthly Lunch Specials,
- Mother’s and Father’s Day Stalls and breakfasts; and more.
To run these events successfully and safely, we require parent helpers. If you would like to support these events and ensure they can continue to run, we are seeking additional volunteers from across our community. If you are happy to help, you can volunteer as much or as little time as you can. Help may only be required for between one to three hours on various days depending on the event.
The PFA is looking to establish a list of parent helpers we can call on to volunteer at these events. The list will be used to communicate with those people with the details of the event and time commitment so you can sign up to help if you are able. Being included on the list does not commit you to assisting at any or all events.
In order to be a volunteer at PFA-run events (or otherwise at the school – including excursions), you will need to have a valid Working with Children Check. It is easy and free to apply to obtain a Working with Children card via the Services Victoria website, link below and only takes 15 mins to apply.
The Working with Children Check is a screening process for assessing people who work with or care for children in Victoria. They take a detailed look at the criminal history and relevant professional conduct findings of applicants to ensure they are assisting to protect children from harm.
