Classroom Work

F/1 and 1/2 community information exchange with India students
At the end of term 3, the F/1 and 1/2 classes wrote letters and made posters about our school, community, and local wildlife to be sent with a past student, Lachlan Hall, over to India. We were surprised to receive our own letters and posters about them, their country and life in India. Children were lucky enough to listen to Lachlan share about his trip before and afterwards.
3/4MS Landcare Session
3/4MS enjoyed Landcare on Thursday the 22nd of October.
We went down to Riddells Creek (the creek running through Macedon) and caught and studied water bugs. Once we got there the activity was explained to everyone, then we started to catch the water bugs with nets.
Everyone got at least one turn, and every scoop was emptied into a bucket of water.
After that, the buckets were emptied into white trays so that we could see what bugs we caught. We saw lots of things including leeches, tadpoles and lots of other creatures.
It was fun for everyone.
