Principal's Report:

A highlight this week was a visit from 'Courage to Care'. Students in Years 7 & 8 learnt how to be an 'upstander' and the dangers of bystander behaviour when we encounter racism, discrimination and antisemitism. Students enjoyed the experience and provided great feedback to the presenters about the engaging activities and important lessons about stereotyping and prejudice. 

The 'Courage to Care' presenters also enjoyed a delicious morning tea and lunch, provided by our VET Cookery students as part of their service requirements. The next meal service the VET students provide for the Kerang Neighbourhood House, on Monday, 10th August. Just two examples of how our students contribute to the community and support the school's partnerships.

Next week is a busy week for staff and students.  On Monday, we have our VCE information evening for parents and students. This event is important for students, so they can make informed decisions about their pathways and school, with support from their family.  The week ends with our Subject Expo for year 10 students on Friday 14th August. 

Also, next week, we have the House Athletics day, on Wednesday, 12th August. 

Athletics Day is a great day for the whole school to come together to cheer and celebrate our talented students. All students are encouraged to participate, whether in track, field or novelty events. 

There's something for everyone. Spectating and supporting your team is also an important part of the day and builds school spirit and connection.
