PARENT HELPERS REQUIRED
Our Parents and Friends have been busy purchasing a range of gifts to sell at our Father’s Day stall in September. Any parents available on Sunday 23rd August from 1:30 pm are welcome to join the Committee in the Hall for an afternoon of gift packing. Please contact the office if you're able to help on this day.
TERM 3 EVACUATION DRILL
In line with the school’s safety procedures and policies, we hold regular safety drills. These enable the school community to practise efficiently evacuating or locking down an area of the school. Our Term 3 drill will take place at 2:30pm on Monday 24th August.
NEW LUNCH ORDER SCHEDULE
Due to dwindling orders we are no longer able to access Subway deliveries. In light of this students will be able to order from TK Tuckshop on a Friday only. These orders need to be made via parents Spriggy School App.
SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
This year Bishop Martin has requested that schools within the Parish of St Andrew’s join together to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. Due to these larger group numbers, Confirmation will be celebrated at MacKillop College in Werribee. St John's students will be joining with students from two other Parish Primary Schools to receive the Sacrament at 1:00pm on Saturday August 8th at the Stadium at MacKillop College Werribee. Please ensure the date below has been recorded on your family’s calendar:
- Saturday August 8th Sacrament of Confirmation 1:00pm @ MacKillop College Werribee
STUDENT ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY
Recently MACS introduced their Vision for Engagement, which describes how students learn, thrive and flourish. During Term 3 Arriving at School by the Bell will be a big focus for our students, as research indicates that this is a critical aspect of academic achievement and social connection. Coming to school on time five days a week, allows students to build on their skills, engage with learning and develop positive habits that extend beyond the classroom.

St John's Community Recipe Book
Thank you to families who submitted favourite recipes for our Cookbook inititiave which was to coincide with our school Cultural Week celebrations.
The cut up for submissions has now arrived and unfortunately we were unable to get enough recipes to warrant proceeding with the design and printing stage of the book.
I would like to thank the Parents & Friends committee members particularly Karen Wilson for their dedication to fundraising within the school.
SHOP FOR SCHOOLS
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Shop for Your School 2026 initiative!
While we didn't make it into the top three schools, we're excited to share that every participating school received $500.00 from Pacific Werribee.
The P&F will be putting these funds towards new outdoor equipment for our students, in consultation with the school.
Thank you again to everyone who shopped, supported, and helped make this possible. Every little bit makes a difference for our school community!
