Industrial Action Update

Thank you to all families for your understanding and flexibility regarding the uncertainty surrounding today's planned industrial action.

Following confirmation of staffing arrangements earlier this week, we were pleased to be able to open the school as normal for student attendance. We appreciate that the change to our previous communication may have required families to reorganise plans at short notice, and we sincerely thank you for your patience and support.

Congratulations to Our Students!

As we reach the end of Week 2, I want to thank our students, families and staff for another fantastic week of learning. It has been wonderful to see our students continuing to demonstrate our school values of Compassion, Courage, Creativity and Ambition in their classrooms and around the school.

One of the highlights of the fortnight has been seeing students continue to earn positive behaviour acknowledgements through our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) program.

Our Celebration Tree continues to grow, with students demonstrating respectful, responsible and resilient behaviours every day. These acknowledgements reflect the positive learning culture that exists across our school and the commitment our students show towards making Box Hill North Primary School & Kindergarten a safe, welcoming and inclusive place to learn.

Well done to all students for the way you continue to represent our school values.

Wonderful Student Writing

This week, we are delighted to share a wonderful piece of writing by one of our Year 4 students, Harry.

Harry has worked incredibly hard through the drafting, editing and publishing process to create a thoughtful and moving piece of writing that showcases not only his developing literacy skills, but also his creativity and ability to connect with his audience. His persistence, attention to detail and willingness to continually improve his work are something he should be incredibly proud of.

We are thrilled to share Harry's writing with our school community and hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did. Congratulations, Harry, on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of the effort, care and dedication you put into producing such a high-quality piece of work.

Attendance Matters

A friendly reminder that every school day counts.

Regular attendance is one of the strongest contributors to student learning success. We understand that illnesses and family circumstances sometimes make absences unavoidable, however, where possible, arriving at school on time and attending every day helps students remain connected to their learning, their friendships and their classroom routines.

If your child is experiencing school reluctance or there are circumstances impacting attendance, please don't hesitate to contact us so we can work together to provide support.

Years 3-6 Athletics Day

I'm so looking forward to seeing our Years 3-6 students participate in Athletics Day on Monday. If you're available on Monday, please come along to Hagenauer Reserve to help us cheer them on!
