Dear Parents and Carers,
Yesterday many of our Sacred Heart School community attended the memorial of Clinton Boers, and many in our community helped with catering and gum leaves for the service. Thank you to everyone who was able to help, we are blessed with an incredibly caring and supportive community at Sacred Heart School.
As we go into the school holidays, we hold the Boers and Faithfull families in our thoughts and prayers.
Loving God, We come to You with heavy hearts, holding this precious family in our prayers. In the midst of their deep sorrow, surround them with Your comfort and peace.
Be near to these young hearts—wrap the children in Your love, and gently guide them through the confusion and sadness they now face. Give their mother strength beyond understanding, and courage for each new day without the one they love so dearly.
Lord, let them feel Your presence in the quiet moments, Your light in the dark days, and Your hope when the pain feels too heavy to carry.
Send them companions to walk beside them—friends who will listen, communities who will care, and a circle of support to remind them they are not alone.
Though their father is no longer with them in this life, may the love he gave, the memories they hold, and the legacy he leaves behind be a lasting source of comfort and strength.
Hold them close, Lord. Bind up their broken hearts, and breathe Your peace into their sorrow.
Amen.
Semester One Reports
Staff have been busy collating assessment information, and finalising student reports. Parents and carers are able to access these reports via PAM. Alongside our Parent Teacher meetings and Parent Support Group meetings, reports give a snapshot of what your child/ren has achieved in the first semester of 2025.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Congratulations to our recipients of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Olivia, Claire and Matilda and their families. Also a big thank you to Celeste for her work in leading and preparing the students for the sacrament of Reconciliation and to Fr Andrew for celebrating Liturgy with our Sacred Heart School community.
Transition to School in 2026
In the last couple of weeks of Term Two, our Sacred Heart School staff have been visiting the Corryong Preschool and Khancoban Preschool meeting many of the 4-year-olds who are preparing to attend school in 2026. We also welcomed the preschoolers in Group 1 for an excursion to school to participate in a morning of fun and learning and we look forward to welcoming Group 2 next term.
We will also be holding our Open Day and Come & Try morning early next term as important parts to our enrolment process and welcoming future Foundation students to Sacred Heart School.
Celebration of 150 years of Corryong
Sacred Heart School students have been busy in the past month, creating a variety of artworks to share as part of our celebration of Corryong 150 years! We welcome all of our Sacred Heart School families past and present to attend morning tea to share stories of Sacred Heart School and Parish and view student artwork.
Please check out the School Calendar section for important dates for Term Three, because we have lots of events, even in the first two weeks of term, including Year 5/6 camp. Information about the senior student camp will be shared with families in the next week.
I hope you all have a restful and enjoyable school holidays, with plenty of time in the sunshine to get help to get rid of all the bugs and illness that have been around this term.
