Congratulations

Hayley Couch (12 Riley)

Congratulations to Hayley, who has just received her black belt in karate!

Well done on this amazing achievement, Hayley!

Hunter Wright (12 Aherne)

Congratulations to Hunter for being selected to represent Vic Country in the Under 18 National Football Championships! Hunter attended the official jumper presentation on 5 June, before flying to Perth to take to the field against WA. Hunter played the first half in the back line before moving on-ball in the second half. It was a nail-biting contest, with Vic Country narrowly missing victory as WA scored a goal just 30 seconds before the final siren.

Vic Country will next face SA on 29 June, followed by the Allies on 5 July and Vic Metro on 20 July. We wish Hunter all the best for the remaining three games in this prestigious competition, where AFL clubs will be closely watching for the stars of the 2026 draft!

Soccer Country Championships

Congratulations to Ruby O'Shea (9 Jenkin), Georgia Smith (8 Milward) and Ava Richards (8 Jenkin), who represented the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League at the Country Championships in Albury over the long weekend.

Their team emerged victorious as the U14 Girls Victorian Country Champions, losing just one game throughout the carnival and defeating Geelong 4-2 in a penalty shootout to win the title.
