Second-Hand Uniform Shop: Now seeking volunteers for Term 3

In Term 3, the shop will be trialling a new afternoon opening time of 2:30 to 3:30pm on Thursdays in addition to the existing hours of 8:15 to 9:00am on Tuesdays and Fridays.

We will be deciding whether to formally implement Thursday afternoons into our regular opening hours based on customer demand and volunteer availability.

To sign up, please follow the instructions on the page linked below. Any queries may be directed to Alicia Stroud (aliciaas89@yahoo.com.au). Thank you for volunteering!

eSafety: How much screen time is too much?

Help your child achieve a healthy balance in their online and offline activities.

There is no magic figure. The right amount of screen time can depend on a range of factors like your child’s age and maturity, the kind of content they are consuming, their learning needs and your family routine. It can be easy to focus only on the clock, but the quality and nature of what they are doing online, and your involvement, are just as important.

Myki Design Competition

Are you aged between 5 and 17, and a whiz with a pen, pencil or paintbrush?

From 1 January 2026, young people aged 17 and under will be able to explore Victoria for free on public transport. That means kids and teens can hop on a train, tram or bus anywhere across Victoria at no cost.

To celebrate this, there’s a brand-new Youth myki coming, and a new canvas to get your art in the hands of young Victorians. Submit your original artwork and you could see your creation featured on the official Youth myki card. Plus, the winner will also receive a $1,000 Visa gift card.

Entries open 6 June and close 15 June 2025.  For more information, visit the following link: Youth myki Card – design competition | Engage Victoria

ISV Student Poetry Competition: Entries open!

Calling all young poets – Independent Schools Victoria’s Student Poetry Competition is back for 2025 and young people from across Victoria are invited to express themselves in our annual celebration of poetic creativity.

Students can enter a written poem or make a video of themselves speaking or performing their words, bringing energy and conviction to their work.

Poets can choose their own topic or explore our optional theme of Gratitude. Gratitude can be seen as a simple yet powerful emotion that signifies feeling thankful and appreciative for the positive and beneficial things in one’s life. It is about acknowledging and appreciating the kindness, help or positive experiences you have received from others or from life itself. The amazing thing about gratitude is that it can lift your mood, intensify relationships and boost your total wellbeing.
