Come along to the St Mary’s Scholastic Book Fair. Our library fundraiser will open Monday 11th May to Friday 15th May, giving students and families a great opportunity to explore and enjoy a wide range of books. 

The Fair will take place for 5 days and be open, before school 8.30-8.55am and after school 3.15 to 4.00pm, making it easy for everyone to visit at a convenient time.

This is a great fundraiser but more importantly, it is an exciting event that focuses on children's literature and promotes independent and shared family reading.

Our school library receives 30% - 35% commission on all items sold (depending on the total). Last year we received over $1,000 worth of books for our library. Our students are involved in the selection of these books.

Items available to purchase will include popular picture fiction, novels, non-fiction and activity books as well as kits. There will also be a range of stationary, novelty items and posters priced from $1.00

Scholastic has donated a $10 book voucher per class as well as posters and novelty items to be used as prizes. Children will be given a "wish list" ticket to fill in, to nominate a favourite book. I will use these to make lucky draws for each class to award prizes. The children's choices will also guide the selection of commission books.

Students may bring money to school with parent's permission and I will guide them in their selection if necessary. EFTPOS facilities will also be available.

Please be assured that there is no expectation to purchase from the Book Fair. All students are involved in the selection of our commission books and prize draws.
