Pre- service teachers

We are very fortunate at the moment to have three pre-service teachers at Holy Family.  Here's a little bit about them.

Jackson

Hi Holy Family community! My name is Jackson, and I am currently a pre-service teacher studying a Bachelor of Teaching (P-12). I have been PST at Holy Family since term 2 and it’s been exciting getting to know the students, staff, and some families during this time.

I have worked in roles in Education Support, as well as a support worker for children and young people. Through these experiences, I have enjoyed helping people and students build confidence and feel supported in their learning. These past experiences have been a big reason as to why I wanted to become a teacher.

Outside of my studies I enjoy being active, playing AFL and going for runs. I also love spending time with my family and friends.

I look forward to the rest of my placement and hopefully getting to know more people in the wider school community!

Adline

Hello Holy Family Community!! 

My name is Adline O’Brien and I am a Pre-Service Teacher from Australian Catholic University (ACU). 

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary), and am in the midst of completing my final placement at Holy Family. This means that I will be working alongside this beautiful community until the beginning of Term 4. I have completed 3 other placements at various other primary schools in the area, and have worked as a Learning Support Officer (LSO) for a number of years; so I have quite a bit of experience in Education Support - I absolutely love it!

Outside of my studies and work, my hobbies include: spending time with family and friends (especially if we are sharing a meal together), cooking and baking, and going on long nature walks. 

I look forward to being a part of, working with, and getting to know, all of the students, staff and families of this community. Please feel free to say hello if you see me around!

Laura

Hi everyone! My name is Laura, and I am currently completing my final placement in Prep here at Holy Family. I will be here until the end of Term 3.

I am studying at Australian Catholic University and am in my fourth year of a Bachelor of Education (Primary and Secondary). Outside of university and placement, I enjoy reading, shopping and spending time outdoors with my daughter, especially visiting places like the zoo.

So far, I have really enjoyed being part of the Holy Family community. Everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging, and I have loved experiencing all the laughs, learning and joy that come with working with the students.

I am looking forward to seeing you around the school, getting to know the Holy Family community and continuing to be part of this wonderful school!
