PARKING & KISS N DROP REMINDER

End of Day Pick up Update

As informed in the newsletter previously, we trialled popping cones out for a short time in an attempt to minimise the amount of time drivers are parking in the ‘Kiss n drop’ zone at the end of the day. 

Governing Council continue to be concerned about the traffic that banks up on the Northern end of Collins Parade (heading south), due to families parking for extended time. 

This also impacts on staff leaving the Northern car park with limited vision to exit safely.

We also have concerns that families crossing at this point (instead of the monitored school crossing) likely have limited vision when going across the road, creating further safety concerns.

We appreciate all of our school community considering the following to keep our families and students safe at the end of the school day:

• Arriving slightly later and not parking in the ‘Kiss n Drop’ area for extended times
• Crossing at the crossing and modelling road safety to your child

Please feel free to share any proactive suggestions to one of the Governing Council members or school Leadership to alleviate these ongoing road safety concerns.
