From the Principal

`4 days until the concert ‘A Night in the Museum’……

Next Tuesday is the big event! Our PPS students will take to the stage to present this year’s production, A Night in the Museum. We can’t wait to see their hard work, talent, and energy come to life on stage.

Grade 4 Camp

Our Grade 4 students, teachers and parent volunteers head off to Camp Forest Edge on Monday 15th September. The students are excited for the opportunity to spend time with their friends while taking part in a range of fun outdoor activities.

Congratulations – Athletics Team

Congratulations and well done to the PPS Athletics team who participated in the District Athletics on Tuesday.  The PPS team placed first on the day with 37 students progressing to the division finals in the first week of Term 4. Thank you to Mr Anderson, Mr Grimwade, Mr Rafferty and Mr Bainbridge for their support and coaching.

Aerobics

Congratulations and well done to both PPS Aerobics teams who competed at the National Finals on Saturday.  Both teams performed well with the Starbursts placing 4th and the Rockin Robics placing 5th.  Thank you to Mrs Mackenzie, Miss Watson and Miss Ulrich for their support and coaching.

Footy Day – Friday 19th September

Footy day is always a highlight to end term 3. Children to come dressed in their footy colours (all codes) on the last day of term and bring a gold coin donation which will support State Schools Relief.  There will also be a donut morning tea, Donuts can be ordered through Qkr and must be ordered by 4:00pm, Thursday 11th September.

Hats and Sunscreen

From Monday 1st September children are required to wear a hat which is in line with our Sun Smart policy.  Please ensure your child has a school hat, navy and wide brimmed and named.  No Hat, No Play.  If your child attends OSHC they will need to separate hat, as the children are unable to go back to their classrooms to collect them.

Sunscreen is available; however, we encourage children to bring a small tube of sunscreen which can be kept in their bag, and they can apply this before they go outside.

2026 School Year

If you have a child in Foundation to Year 5 who will not be returning to PPS next year, could you please inform the office or the class teacher via email ASAP.  This will assist with planning for class structures and staffing for 2026.

End of Term Friday 19th September– Early Dismissal and Assembly

The end of term assembly is on Friday 19th Sept at 2:00pm.  Children will be dismissed at 2:30pm from their classrooms.
