Year 5 and 6 Mini Boss Incursion

Our Year 5 and 6 students took part in a hands-on learning experience designed to inspire young entrepreneurs and prepare them for the upcoming St Joseph’s Shark Tank later this term. Throughout the day, students explored the world of business and innovation, learning how successful ideas are created and developed into real products and services.

Students participated in a range of engaging activities focused on idea generation, where they brainstormed creative and original business concepts while thinking about what makes a product unique and appealing to customers. They also learnt about the importance of conducting effective market research, creating surveys and gathering feedback to better understand the needs and interests of potential customers.

Year 6 Business and Economics Guest Speaker

This week, our Year 6 students were fortunate to hear from Elise Keen (Amelie's Mum), who shared her experiences and insights into setting up a successful business. Elise spoke about the importance of identifying a problem and creating a solution to meet the needs of customers. She encouraged students to be flexible and open to improving or changing their products when needed based on feedback and new ideas. Students greatly enjoyed hearing Elise’s practical advice and were inspired as they continue developing their own businesses for Shark Tank later this term.

Year 6 Interschool Sport

Over the past two Fridays, our Year 6 students have enthusiastically participated in Interschool Sport against St Joan of Arc Primary School and St Mary's, Hampton. Throughout the competition, students have demonstrated excellent teamwork, sportsmanship, and determination while representing St Joseph’s with pride. It has been wonderful to see students encouraging one another, building new skills, and showing resilience both on and off the court.
