Thoughts from our Principal - Mrs Casey Chard
Welcome to Week 10. It is hard to believe we have reached the end of another full and rewarding school year. As I reflect on the year that has been, I am filled with gratitude for our wonderful students and the joy it has been to work alongside such enthusiastic, respectful and engaged learners. Their growth in faith, learning and wellbeing has made me immensely proud.
As this is our final newsletter for the year, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our families for your unwavering support and partnership. Parents, grandparents and extended family members contribute in so many meaningful ways; through prayer, presence at school events, volunteering, encouragement and trust. Your involvement strengthens the sense of belonging that makes St Joseph’s such a valued community.
I also wish to acknowledge and thank our dedicated staff, whose professionalism, care and commitment underpin all that we do at St Joseph’s. Our skilled, helpful adults work tirelessly to provide high-quality learning experiences while nurturing each child as a valued individual, consistently going above and beyond to ensure every student is supported, challenged and encouraged to thrive.
In particular, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Mr Rickie Withers and Mrs Jackie Barratt. Rickie’s leadership, pastoral care and deep commitment to our students and community, along with Jackie’s dedication to student learning, sport and wellbeing, have made a lasting impact on our school. We wish Rickie and Jackie every success and happiness in their future endeavours and while they will be greatly missed, we are deeply grateful for the legacy they leave behind.
Thank you for being part of our St Joseph’s journey this year. I look forward to continuing this partnership as we move into the year ahead. As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, may your homes be filled with peace, joy and the blessings of God’s love this Christmas.
May God bless you and your family.
