Welcome back to Term 4! It is hard to believe that we have reached our final term of the year. Over the next 11 weeks, students will have plenty of opportunities to build on their learning, take on new responsibilities and celebrate the progress they have made throughout the year.

One of the highlights of the term will be our Cosmo Dome incursion in Week 4, which will provide students with an engaging and immersive learning experience.

This term, students will also begin preparing their leadership applications. This will be an important opportunity for students to reflect on their strengths, achievements and contributions to our school community. They will consider what makes an effective leader, identify the qualities they can bring to a leadership role and develop their ability to communicate their ideas clearly and confidently. Most importantly, students will be encouraged to think about the type of leader and role model they would like to be as they move towards their final year of primary school.

In English, students will explore persuasive and narrative writing, developing their ability to communicate ideas effectively, engage their audience and craft well structured pieces of writing. In Mathematics, our learning will focus on Location and Transformation, Data Investigations, and Fractions, Percentages and Decimals.

Our Inquiry learning will centre around the question, 'How can design and technology ensure our survival and sustainability?' Students will explore Global Goal #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, investigating how design and technology can be used to develop sustainable solutions and improve the way we live in our communities.

During TRP and Cybersafety, students will continue to develop their wellbeing and digital citizenship skills, with a focus on applying our school values to the choices they make, their relationships with others and their interactions both at school and online.

We have an exciting term ahead and look forward to making the most of these final 11 weeks together. It will be a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, take on new responsibilities and finish the year feeling proud of all they have achieved.
