So Excited to be Stepping Into SFS
We have had a BIG few days with our Prep families and Preps for 2027!!
They took a giant BIG step into SFS this week. On Wednesday evening parents and a few children gathered for our 2027 Parent Information Night. While we shared information, Joanna was a busy bee getting the sports T-Shirt ready in the chosen size and the right team for each new Prep. At the end of the session, we were able to distribute these for the first time at the Information Night!!!
On Thursday morning the Preps returned in their party best outfits and quite a few in their new sports T-Shirt ready for our party. We gathered in the hall for some songs and movement to get us all aquaunted. We had a massive circle of Preps who joined in the FUN.
Then we were all off to do some special activities with our specialists teachers. We had hoops to crawl through, stories to hear, footprints to decorate and even got to jump like kangaroos in sacks. We were so impressed with our 2027 preps who listened well, engaged in tasks and did their very BEST at all the activities. Well done to our little STARS!!
Before long it was time for some treats and a chat in the yarning circle or in the hall. Time for a few photos to remember the day, collect a party bag and a balloon and head home.
We were delighted by the happy faces on both children and parents and we can't wait to see them again at the first orientation session in November.
Toilets Refurbished
We have just completed the refurbishment of the girls and boys toilets in LS1. LS2 and 3 will have a minor make over during the Christmas break. Our toilets look sparkling and smell new with new paint and new lino. We need to keep it looking great. So we need your help to educate your child and ensure their toilet routine is hygienic. That they leave the toilet clean and wash their hands before leaving the toilets.
In particular, we ask parents of boys to ensure they can use a urinal.
Please ensure
- Boys stand close enough to the urinal.
- That they aim correctly.
It will be great if you can please support us with this, so that our entire school community stays beautifully clean and so everyone can use the toilets with confidence and safety.
School Uniform
In Term 4, we move to wearing our summer uniform. Children are reminded to wear a hat when playing out side and add sun cream to protect them from harmful UV rays. The P&F have a second hand uniform shop that is available at school and open on Thursday mornings. All items are $5 and support the P&F fundraising for the school. Alternatively new items of uniform can be purchased from Beleza.
School Shoes 2027
At the School Advisory Council on Tuesday 20 October a policy decision was made to provide clarity of direction for the purchase of school shoes for the New Year 2027.
