EFTPOS NOW AVAILABLE

The office now has an EFTPOS machine and can accept EFTPOS Payments on all purchases and payments e.g.: uniforms, excursions etc.

ATTENTION KINDERGARTEN PARENTS/CARERS 

We have been experiencing a lot of toilet mishaps in the past few weeks with some of our Kindergarten children. 

As we don’t have any shorts and going through a lot of underwear, it would be appreciated if you could please supply a replacement of these items in your child’s bag. We thank you for your cooperation.

WE ARE GOING DIGITAL

Werris Creek Public School is going digital in Term 2 and will be posting all notes, newsletters and information through the Sentral Portal. A note was sent home previously asking parents and carers if they wish to receive via digital means or via paper copy.  We still have a number of families that have not indicated their preference.  Could you please ensure this note is returned to our office no later than this Friday, 27th March.  If you require another copy, please contact the school office.  Notes that are not returned will be deemed as wanting a digital copy and not in paper form.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

We will be holding our last School Assembly for Term 1 this Friday, 27th March at 9:00am as we have our last Water Polo Session for Yrs 2-6 on Friday afternoon.  Yr 4/5/6T will be performing.  All welcome to attend.

SCHOOL POLO SHIRTS DELAY

We have been notified by the company that produces our School Polo Shirts that they are currently out of stock on some of the sizes, even though these were ordered at the beginning of the year.

Size 10 and Size 12 will not be available until after the 6 March 2026.

Size 6 and Size 8 will not be available until after the 20 March 2026.

Please note, that while these are the expected dates above, unforeseen delays may occur. If there are any changes the company will keep us informed.  We will advise you as soon as they arrive. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

EASTER RAFFLE

Our Easter Raffle is growing by the day, and we thank the many families who have donated easter eggs and easter items.  If you would like to donate there is still time.  All donations can be dropped into the school office until Friday, 27th March.  Tickets are available to purchase from the school office for $1 each.  If you require any further raffle ticket booklets, please see the school office.  All funds raised will go towards transportation expenses for our school excursions such as the Yr 4/5/6T Science Day and Pt Stephens Excursion as well as K/3 Excursion and Movie Day at the end of the year.  Your assistance helps us to lower the cost of transportation for families. Attention Yr6 Parents/Carers

Moving into Year 7, 2027 Expression of Interest

The Moving into Year 7 Expression of Interest form that was sent home at the beginning of February for Year 6 is now due.  If you have not done so, could you please ensure it is returned to the school office no later than Friday, 27th March 2026, or alternatively please submit the EOI online.  This form is mandatory even though your child may be going to a Selective or non-government school.

Year 6 Quirindi High School Taster Day

Quirindi High School will be holding a Taster Day at Quirindi High School on Tuesday 28th April 2026. All students to arrive at Quirindi High School at 9:20am and collected at 2:35pm.  Students to be transported by Parents/Carers on the day. We ask that all students bring their morning tea and a drink bottle for the day. A BBQ lunch will be provided. All enquiries with regards to the taster day please contact Quirindi High School.
