Deputy Principal's Message

Welcome to Term 4! I hope all students and families had a lovely holiday break. We look forward to a fantastic term ahead with many end-of-year celebrations and events to come.

SRC Fundraiser

The SRC would like to pass on their sincere gratitude to all students and families who donated to their Wear it Wild fundraiser on the last day of Term 3 to raise money for World Wildlife Fund Australia's endangered species program.

Thanks to our school community, we raised $783.05 for the cause. This money will help to protect native species by supporting conservation efforts for threatened animals and their homes. For more information on the WWF's programs, visit their website

Roblox Safety Concerns

Roblox is a popular online game platform that is accessed by many primary-aged children around the world. Recently, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner raised concerns about child grooming risks on the platform and its compliance with Australia’s codes and standards.

While Roblox has introduced new safety features such as maturity-based ratings, stricter chat filters, and enhanced parental controls, potential concerns remain, including the risk of interactions with strangers, exposure to inappropriate content, and in-game purchases. Further safety strategies are due to be implemented, with Roblox committing to implementing a new suite of safety measures in Australia by the end of 2025, as a result of eSafety’s engagement with the platform.

To help keep children safe, it is recommended that accounts are created using the correct age and parental controls are used to manage chats and spending. Parents are encouraged to have ongoing conversations with their children about online safety and privacy. It is also advised to keep devices in shared family areas, encourage reporting of inappropriate content, and for parents/carers to play the game with children to become familiar with the platform.
