Hello from 2B

Wow! What a wonderful and busy term it has been in 2B!

Our students had the opportunity to become scientists during our ‘All Mixed Up’ science incursion. We explored different toys and enjoyed hands-on experiences, including creating stringy slime and launching mini rockets. We also investigated changes in the states of matter by making Oobleck and, of course, some very tasty Honey Joys!

Literacy Week was another highlight of the term. We were delighted to welcome some very special visitors for Grandparents’ Morning. However, the highlight of the week was definitely Dress-Up Day! Our classroom was filled with soccer superstars, superheroes, Disney villains, cheeky pizzas and many other creative characters. It was fantastic to see everyone's enthusiasm and creativity!

In Maths, we have explored measurement and shape, as well as tackling a new topic: multiplication and division. Students have enjoyed using hands-on materials to investigate mathematical concepts before applying their learning to written strategies.

Throughout the term, we have embraced Wacky Wednesdays and Sporty Fridays, with everyone excited to come to school and show off their wonderful outfits!

We have also continued developing our social skills during THRIVE and Friendology. Most recently, we have been exploring what it means to be a good friend and how we can support and care for one another during R U Ok day.

What a fantastic term it has been in 2B! We should be are proud of all the learning, enthusiasm and positive relationships our students have developed.
