Spring has sprung and the weather has turned!

Prep/Year 6 Musical

What a great week and a massive end of term! Thanks to the Prep and Year 6 students for three brilliant performances on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. A great mix of music, dance a little comedy and an important message from Scarlett Shadow.

I appreciate all the staff for taking the time and effort to put this together with the students over the past few months. Special thanks to the Prep team, Year 6 team, Jay and Richard for their behind the scenes work not only on the three musical nights but the hours and hours in the lead up to the performances.

I would also like to acknowledge Ms Chila who assisted with running all the sound equipment and the juggling of 8 microphones – not an easy task!  We also want to recognise a young man by the name of Noah Jones from EMC – for his support with all the technical equipment in the LPAC.

Father’s Day Stall 

Thanks to the PFA for running a successful stall for Father’s Day.  It is much appreciated.  No doubt the dads and special people in our children’s lives enjoyed their presents.  I hope all the dads had a great day.

Footy Parade

The annual footy parade was on this morning. It was great to see lots of footy (or NRL, soccer, basketball) attire today.  It is always a fun way to finish off the term – whether your team has or hasn’t made the finals.  Thanks to Ms Chila and Mr Tilling for the compering and music today. Also we want to thank our PFA for cooking all those pies and sausage rolls – they were yummy!

Pupil Free Days 

For your future planning…..

Friday 30th October is the staff Professional Practice Day, there will be no students required on this day.  Staff will be reviewing and analysing student assessment data and work samples to make judgements for Semester 2 reports.

Monday November 2nd is a pupil free day where staff will be participating in Berry Street Trauma Informed Practices professional learning.

As we wrap up Term 3, I want to again thank our broader community for your continued support throughout the term.  If you are travelling during the holidays – be safe on the roads.  We look forward to seeing everyone back at 8.50am on Monday 5th October.
