R U OK? Day Awareness – Year 12 Leading the Way
Last Thursday our school community came together to shine a bright spotlight on R U OK? Day, and the energy on campus was impossible to miss. The Year 12 cohort looked lively, confident and full of spirit in their vibrant yellow costumes, turning the day into a sea of colour and positivity. Their enthusiasm set the tone for an afternoon filled with connection, fun and genuine support.
A sizzling BBQ, upbeat music and plenty of good vibes kept everyone smiling, but the highlight was the epic netball showdown: Year 12 versus Year 11. Both teams played with passion, but Year 12 proved victorious, claiming bragging rights for 2026 and celebrating with well‑earned cheers.
R U OK? Day is more than an event - it’s a reminder that checking in with someone can make a real difference. It encourages us to pause, notice, and ask a simple but powerful question: “Are you OK?” The day reinforces the importance of listening, supporting one another and creating a school culture where everyone feels seen and valued.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise, participate and bring the day to life. Your involvement made our awareness event meaningful, memorable and full of heart.
