During the holidays, St Brigid's College Year 8 student, Holly Bird, made the Western Waves Cricket Academy Squad. Holly will train with the squad over winter, preparing for selections in September. She also played in an all-stars game last weekend at Coughlin Park. Well done Holly!
We wish all the best to Jorja Clode and Jed Hermans, who have been nominated for Wimmera Regional Sports Assembly's 'Sports Star of the Year', which will be awarded tonight.
Jorja, a current Year 12 student, is nominated for her achievements in netball, including being named as a training partner for Victorian Netball League expansion team, the Bendigo Strikers.
Jed Hermans, a past student, who has gained employment at Horsham Toyota this year after completing Structured Workplace Learning in Year 11, has been nominated for his achievements competing at the Men’s Open ASA National Scooter Championships and the Men’s Open Division World Championships.
Good luck Jed & Jorja!
