Just a reminder for any students that have medication on site at school, especially those leaving, will need to have a parent/carer pick up their medication from the office on the last day.

Lost Property

We have some lost property in the office & outside staffroom to go through before the end of the year as this will be discarded at the end of the year if not collected.

Final Assembly

The final assembly will be held on the 19th December at 9am

Updating Student Information

It is important that our student records contain up to date information.  We need to have correct information to contact families and also have accurate data for funding allocation. If you have any changes please advise our administration team as soon as possible.

Updates can include: Occupation status and type, relationship status, Address/Phone numbers, student medical information.

Attendance at Somerville Primary School

Just a reminder that it is a department requirement if a student is not at school that we record the reason they are absent. You can easily do this on Compass by clicking on the shortcuts button in the middle at the bottom of the home screen and click 'Submit for Attendance'.

  • Enter reason via the drop down. i.e. medical illness, family holiday, etc...
  • Comment: any other comments you might want to add regarding the reason.
  • Enter start and finish dates and click save.

Note: Extended absences of 5 or more days require Principal approval.

Requests must be in writing, stating the reason and duration of the absence. These can be sent via email to somerville.ps@education.vic.gov.au as early as possible.  An absence learning plan will then be provided by the classroom teacher, as required by the Department of Education and Training.

Christmas Colouring Competition

We have a copy of the colouring competition at the office to complete
