Father’s Day Drinks on Friday 5th September 

As Father’s Day falls on the week before Spring Carnival, this year the PFA will be holding  Father's Day Drinks instead of a BBQ.

Catch up with CPS dads and father figures for drinks, dinner and an AFL final!

PFA Pie Drive + Trivia Night = One Epic Week!

What’s better than our much-loved yearly Pie Drive? Pairing it with Trivia Night in the same week and wow, did they both deliver!

A huge thank you to everyone who gave themselves a well-earned night off from cooking and stocked up on delicious savoury pies. Your support helped us raise a mouth-watering $870 from the PFA’s Pie Drive alone.

Trivia Night 2025 was a roaring success, with 115 members of our CPS school community packing the Murrumbeena Park Bowls Club for a night filled with laughs, balloon-juggling antics, and the surprisingly tricky challenge of balancing pasta on spaghetti!

A massive thank you must go to Michael Vandenberg, who stepped up as Trivia Master and proved he could absolutely be our wingman any time. After a tense tie-breaker, the Year 1 table took home the choccies, edging out a formidable Year 4 team.

The 80s and 90s movie character costumes were next-level, with an incredible amount of creativity on display. Susan stole the show and the Best Dressed title as the unforgettable blushing bride from Muriel’s Wedding.

Thank you also to the generous parents who donated prizes and silent auction items. With your contributions, we raised close to $4,000 an amazing result for our school!

And last but certainly not least, a big thank you to Jenn Needham who organised both the Pie Drive and trivia night. She didn’t need to dress as a nun to prove what a saint she is - thank you Jenn! 

Qkr! pre-orders to stay for Popcorn Friday 

Qkr! pre-orders are here to stay for Popcorn Friday but we have reverted to alternating each week between the lower and upper grades.

This week will be Grades 3 - 6. Pre-orders will be open until 9pm on Thursday night. Cash payments on Friday will still be accepted.  

Popcorn Friday dates for the rest of the term are:

• Fri 15 Aug = Grades 3 - 6
• Fri 22 Aug = Prep - Grade 2
• Fri 28 Aug = Grades 3 - 6
• Fri 12 Sept = Prep - Grade 2

Please note there will be no Popcorn Friday on Friday 5 September due to the Father’s Day Stall taking place that week (and the wonderful Mandi Katzenstein organises both!)
