Teddy Bear Hospital

Prep and Year 1 Monash Hospital Teddy Bear Incursion

On Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th July, our junior students were lucky to participate in a 2-hour incursion led by Monash University Medical student volunteers. Our students loved bringing their teddy bears and soft toys to school with them to use as their patients!

The session was designed to provide the children with a unique and interactive way to experience the atmosphere at a hospital or general practice without being patients themselves.

The fun, hands-on activities included role-play scenarios, practising calling for an ambulance, visiting a GP, learning about asthma devices, making a plaster cast for our fingers, and one of our favourites, hugging Big Ted!
