Performing Arts Co-Curricular Program

Mari Eleanor - Co-ordinator

2025 is up and running and the Performing Arts corridors are full of life!

Creative Music in Schools

Students can learn an instrument at Marian College. Lessons take place on a Tuesday and are available on piano/keys, guitar/bass, drums, and singing. Brochures are available from the Performing Arts Office with more information.

Ensembles

Our ensembles have all resumed rehearsals. Here is what is on offer:

Marian College Choir

Rehearses every Monday at Lunch and is open to all students and staff. They sing music at Assemblies, Masses, and Liturgies, as well as our Showcase concerts. It's a great way to meet people from other year levels, learn to read music and to sing harmonies.

Play Ukelele!

Rehearses every Tuesday at Lunch and is open to all students and staff. It has a fun and relaxed vibe to match the brightly coloured ukes that students can use - no need to have your own.

Concert Bands

Run on Thursday. The main group rehearses at Lunch, and the Senior Concert Band rehearses after classes. These bands cater for students who are or have taken instrumental lessons in Year 7 and enrolments are open to these students and any others in our community with instrumental experience on any of the following: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass or percussion. As a Music teacher for more information.

And coming up...

Drama Club! - Drama Club will run in terms 2 and 3 this year. There will be more information to come so watch this space!
