Autumn Fair 2026

Our Steiner Autumn Fair is coming together beautifully, and the excitement is building!

Saturday, 23 May – 10am to 2pm

With just over 4 weeks to go, here are a few ways you can get involved and help make this year’s fair truly special.

Working Bee

Saturday, May 9 | 8:30am – 1pm

Come along and help us prepare the school for the big day.  Whether you can spare 30 minutes or stay for a few hours, every helping hand makes a difference. Sausage sizzle provided!

Volunteer

Your Class Stall Coordinators will be in touch soon with a sign-up link for stall shifts and other opportunities. There are plenty of ways to contribute – big or small – and it’s a great way to connect with other families and engage our children in the spirit of our Steiner school community.

Baking Cakes, Making Preserves and Lemonade, and Jar Collection

Now is the perfect time to start baking cakes for the freezer and preparing your favourite preserves.

  • Jars and recipes are available at the Fair Table
  • We’d love donations of local lemons and/or other citrus for our lemonade – and any other preserving fruit would also be gratefully received. Please drop them at the Fair Table
  • Clean, label-free jars and glass bottles (especially passata jars) are still needed for jams, chutneys, chai, lemonade, and more. Please drop donations at the Volunteers Fair Table.

Craft

The Steiner Craft Parents and Friends group is in full swing, and there are lots of opportunities to join in this term.  Craft sessions are a wonderful way to contribute while enjoying some creative time together.

Upcoming sessions:

Week 3

  • Tue 28th April, 7:30pm (Lena’s)
  • Wed 29th April, 12:35pm (School)

Week 4

  • Tue 5th May, 7:30pm (Samantha’s)
  • Wed 6th May, 12:35pm (School)

Week 5

  • Tue 12th May, 7:30pm (Sonja’s)
  • Wed 13th May, 12:35pm (School)

Final pre-fair session dates will be shared soon. Craft packs are also available from the front office to take home.

Stay connected by joining the Steiner Craft Parents and Friends - WhatsApp group

Food Safety

To meet environmental health requirements, we need to keep records of all foods donated, including cakes and preserves.

  • Please include a full list of ingredients with you donation
  • Record forms and preserve labels are available at the Fair Table

With so many delicious homemade treats on offer, we encourage everyone - especially all curry stall cooks - to complete this free, 30minute online food handling course

Finances

If you have any expenses to be reimbursed, please submit your forms to your coordinators as soon as possible.  This greatly helps streamline the process and allows us to calculate the fair’s fundraising total more efficiently.

Thank You

Thank you for your ongoing support, energy, and enthusiasm. It’s this shared effort that makes the Steiner Autumn Fair such a meaningful and memorable day for our whole community.

With gratitude,
