Year 1

Year 1 have been busy over the past two weeks. We have been learning about adding and subtracting and how to make equivalent algorithms.
We have been writing sentences about colour, using adjectives and our senses to describe the way a colour might taste, smell and feel. This was linked with our English texts, "Boy" by Phil Cummings and "The Black Book of Colours" by Menena Cotton.
In HSIE we have been looking at the continents, oceans and Australia’s closest neighbours.
In Science we have been learning about the design process and how it links with technology. We have been deciding on the best materials for a set project.
We would like to wish all the Dads, and men who are like Dads in our lives, a very happy Fathers' Day.
