Year 7 Excursion

Year 7 Excursion to Coffs Harbour
This week, our Year 7 students enjoyed an unforgettable excursion to Coffs Harbour, staying at the Coffs Coast Adventure Centre for a thrilling, action-packed experience. From heart-pumping outdoor challenges to fun-filled activities, the trip was the perfect combination of adventure, learning, and team bonding.
Big Banana Slides – A Splash of Fun
No trip to Coffs Harbour would be complete without a visit to the iconic Big Banana! Our students had a blast sliding down the massive water slides, cooling off and enjoying the thrilling twists and turns. The Big Banana provided a perfect mix of fun and relaxation, allowing students to enjoy some downtime while still staying active.
Ladder Logs – Conquering Fears and Building Confidence
Students then tried their hand at Ladder Logs, a challenging activity that tested the students' balance and courage. Suspended high above the ground, they had to carefully climb from one log to the next. For many, this was their first experience facing their fear of heights, and with the encouragement of their classmates, they overcame the challenge with confidence. It was an empowering moment that set the tone for the rest of the day!
Sky Wire – Soaring Through the Air
Next up was the Sky Wire, a thrilling zipline that allowed students to soar through the air, taking in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The excitement was palpable as students whizzed down the line, screaming with joy and adrenaline. It was a true test of bravery, and many students discovered a new sense of fearlessness as they zipped to the finish!
Z Ball – Rolling into Fun
After the Sky Wire, it was time for some lighthearted fun with the Z Ball activity. Students climbed into giant inflatable balls and rolled down a specially designed track. The laughter and cheers that echoed across the field showed just how much fun they were having! This activity encouraged students to let loose, embrace the excitement, and work together in a completely unique way.
Commando Course – Strength, Agility, and Teamwork
The Commando Course presented students with a series of physical obstacles, testing their strength, agility, and teamwork. From crawling under nets to climbing walls and jumping through tyres, students worked together to complete the course. It was a perfect example of how collaboration and perseverance can help achieve success, even in the most challenging situations.
300 Ten Pin Bowling – A Friendly Competition
Students enjoyed a fun and friendly competition at 300 Ten PinBowling. Whether they were aiming for strikes or just enjoying the game with friends, the bowling alley was a great way to unwind and end the excursion on a high note. It was the perfect way to celebrate the success of the trip and reflect on all the amazing memories they had made.
Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary – Discovering Nature’s Wonders
To finish the trip, our students also had the chance to visit the Coffs Coast Wildlife Sanctuary, where they encountered a variety of native Australian animals. From cuddly koalas to curious kangaroos, the wildlife sanctuary gave students the opportunity to learn about the unique flora and fauna that call Australia home. It was an educational and awe-inspiring experience that fostered a greater appreciation for nature and wildlife conservation.
A Memorable and Meaningful Adventure
Overall, the Year 7 excursion to Coffs Harbour was an incredible journey filled with adventure, personal growth, and team spirit. From conquering challenges at the Adventure Centre to enjoying the thrills of the Big Banana and connecting with nature at the Wildlife Sanctuary, every moment was packed with fun and learning.
