What an exciting term it has been! Our Year 7 Camp was a fantastic experience filled with adventure and lasting memories. It was wonderful to see photos showcasing all the opportunities our students enjoyed. From thrilling waterslides and tenpin bowling to the zipline and commando course, the days were jam-packed with fun. The tired but happy faces upon our return were a testament to the great time had by all. A massive thank you to our dedicated staff members—Mrs Roberta Koch, Mrs Helen Clothier, Miss Ashleigh Green, Mr James Kelly, Matt, and Chris—who generously gave their time to ensure the camp was a success.
Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Winter Trials for Open Touch, Soccer, Rugby League, and Squash. Special congratulations to those who have made it into the North West teams! Our swimmers also deserve a round of applause for representing us in Armidale on a chilly day, and we wish them the best of luck in Sydney for the state carnival next week. I would like to extend my thanks to all the staff who make these sporting opportunities possible, particularly Mrs Amanda Jones, Mrs Karen Cooper, and Mr Craig Cook.
It was wonderful to see so many families at our formal assembly last week. Congratulations to our award winners and our new SRC recipients! As I mentioned in my speech, Term 1 has been an incredible start to the year, filled with teaching, learning, and extracurricular opportunities for our students. Our Year 7 students deserve special recognition for their positive start to the year.
Finally, we would love to see as many students as possible represent THS at the Anzac Day March during the holidays. This is such an important community event. Students who are attending are asked to wear their full school uniform. Further details will be available on our Facebook page.
Have a great holiday, and we look forward to welcoming our students back on Wednesday, April 30th.
