First Eucharist Preparations
It's an exciting time for our Year 4 students as they prepare to receive their First Holy Communion! This marks a really special milestone in their faith journey, and we're so proud of how dedicated they've been in their preparation.
Our students have been busy in their classes, learning about the significance of this sacrament and what it means for them personally. They've been exploring stories about Jesus and understanding how this special day connects them to a long-standing tradition within the Church. It's a truly personal and meaningful moment where they'll feel a deeper connection to their faith and community.
We encourage families to continue supporting their children at home by discussing what they've learned and helping them feel ready for this important event.
We look forward to celebrating with our Year 4 students as they take this significant step in their spiritual growth!

Learning About the Sacred Heart of Jesus
As we approach the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (which falls on Friday, June 27th this year), our students have been spending time learning about this very special devotion.
Throughout their classes, students have been exploring the meaning behind the Sacred Heart – a powerful symbol of Jesus' boundless love, compassion, and mercy for all of us. They've been discussing how this love is open to everyone, especially those who are suffering or in need.
This focus helps our students deepen their understanding of Jesus' immense love and encourages them to reflect on how they can share that love with others in their own lives. It's a beautiful opportunity for them to connect with a core message of our faith.
Check out the Sacred Heart pictures created by students in 1 Blue… fantastic!
Winter Warmers Appeal
A massive thank you to all our wonderful families who so generously donated to the St Vincent de Paul Winter Warmers Appeal! Your incredible kindness has truly made a difference as we head into the colder months here in Sunbury.
The donations of warm clothing, blankets, and other essential items will provide much-needed comfort and support to individuals and families in our community who are doing it tough this winter. Every scarf, every jacket, and every blanket you contributed helps someone stay a little warmer and feel a little more cared for.
Your generosity showcases the wonderful spirit of our school community, and we are so grateful for your compassion and willingness to help others. Thank you for making a real impact on those in need.
