This means having a clear, accessible, and easy-to-understand policy that outlines how complaints will be handled, who is responsible, and how to report them. The policy should be understood by children, families, staff, and volunteers, and all complaints should be taken seriously and responded to promptly and thoroughly. policy should be understood by children, families, staff, and volunteers, and all complaints should be taken seriously and responded to promptly and thoroughly.

At St Joseph’s, we promote child safety and wellbeing through:

  • clear and accessible school policies
  • regular School Engagement Surveys to gather feedback and strengthen our community
  • a thorough volunteer registration process to ensure all helpers are supported and informed
  • ongoing staff training to maintain best practice and keep students safe

Together, these practices strengthen our shared responsibility to ensure every child in our community is safe, valued, and supported.
