Attendance – Attend today, Achieve Tomorrow

Attendance is linked to learning:

  • 100% attendance = Best chance for progress in learning with this attendance.
  • 96.99% attendance = Less chance for progress in learning with this attendance.
  • 92.99% = Harder to make progress in learning with this attendance.
  • 90% and below = It is extremely difficult to make progress in learning with this attendance

Please consider the following which will help your child progress in their learning:

  • Holidays outside of school holiday times
  • Make appointments after 12.40 or after school has finished
  • Rest helps children prepare for learning

Building a Respectful and Inclusive School Community

At our school, we place a strong focus on helping children understand and respect differences in personalities, interests, and ways of learning. By nurturing this understanding, we create a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, confident, and supported to engage in their learning.

We are also committed to maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all students. At times, we see behaviours such as defiance, disrespect, disruption, or name-calling. When these occur occasionally, staff work with students to reinforce expectations and guide them towards positive choices.

When behaviours are repeated or have a greater impact on others, they are addressed more seriously. This may include restorative conversations, time out of the classroom, and communication with families. If concerns continue, we will work closely with families to develop appropriate support strategies. Participation in some activities may depend on a student’s ability to meet behavioural expectations.

We value the strong partnership between home and school, and thank families for their ongoing support as we work together to ensure our school remains a safe, respectful, and inclusive place where every child can thrive.
