Enrichment is Back for Term 2!

Semester One of Enrichment Ends with a Bang!

Term 2 of Enrichment has come to an exciting end as we begin planning for an even bigger and better Term 3!

This term saw the introduction of several new programs, including Boxing, Philosophy Club and The Amazing Race. We also introduced a program for our Class Captains that focused on student leadership skills in fun and creative ways! One challenge saw students pretend they were on a deserted island, where they had to use teamwork and their problem-solving skills to determine which materials were key to survival. Students in our Boxing program had the opportunity to train with facilitators from Lionsden Boxing Academy, developing their fitness, discipline and agility. Meanwhile, The Amazing Race saw senior students travel to a different country each week through a series of themed challenges.  The final week was the ultimate race where teams were sent around the school to compete in various challenges against Teachers and Education Support Staff in Jenga, 20 Questions, and Kendama, to mention a few.

Next term, Enrichment will be even longer! For our Junior students, Enrichment will begin in Week 1 and run for 9 weeks and for our Senior students, Enrichment will begin in Week 2 and run for 8 weeks. Term 3 has some new additions to the lineup, including Would I Lie to You?, where students will form teams and determine the truthtellers from the liars. 

Our First Aid and Survival Skills program is back this year for our senior students, providing an opportunity to earn a fully accredited First Aid Certificate from Fight 2 Survive and learn survival skills with external facilitators from The Bushway. Another exciting addition is our 3D Printing Lab program! Only 10 lucky students will be allocated to the program to start with, where they will learn all about 3D printing and have the opportunity to print their own designs. We are also excited to introduce Creative Writing Studio and Model United Nations for senior students. Creative Writing Studio is a brand new program designed to inspire future authors, storytellers and creators.

We are incredibly proud to be able to offer such a diverse range of enrichment opportunities and look forward to seeing our new programs come to life next term while continuing to offer our tried and true favourites.
