IDAHOBIT Day

Acknowledging IDAHOBIT Day

In Week 4 this term, Melton Secondary College acknowledged IDAHOBIT Day on Friday 15 May.

IDAHOBIT stands for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia. The day is recognised internationally each year as an opportunity to stand against discrimination and promote inclusion, respect and acceptance for LGBTQIA+ people.

Acknowledging IDAHOBIT Day is important because all students and staff deserve to feel safe, respected and connected to their school community. When we actively promote acceptance and inclusion, we help create a school environment where people can be themselves, seek support when needed and feel a stronger sense of belonging.

At Melton Secondary College, we continue to value diversity and support a school culture where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.
