Junior Joeys Term 2 Highlights

Junior Joeys Term 2 Highlights
Music & Movement: We have been learning about beat through body percussion and following engaging musical tracing activities which helps practice fine motor control, visual tracking, and hand-eye coordination—all while relaxing to a familiar lullaby and calming music.
Lunch Orders: A big Thank you to our canteen helpers for Hot Diggity Dog Days. We also love our after lunch treats.
Numberblocks: We’ve enjoyed watching Numberblocks on ABC iview, which has made discovering numbers a fun, visual adventure. We are now playing with dice and counters to represent numbers 1-6.
Walk Safely to School Day: In support of National Walk Safely to School Day, our Stage 3 students organised an exciting scavenger hunt for our Junior Joeys. Following a trail of clues, our younger students navigated their way safely, wearing high viz vests across zebra crossings, past road signs, and around work-in-progress zones to complete the hunt with their Stage 3 peers. It was a fantastic orientation opportunity for our Junior Joeys, helping them build confidence in their new school environment.
Mrs Brady’s Special Birthday: We prepared fruit skewers, pikelets, and fairy bread, enjoyed some chocolate crackles and cake, and had a blast with balloons and party games.
- Pyjama Dress Up Day: In support of our Vinnies Winter appeal we are rolling right out of bed and off to school for our last day in our PYJAMAS. What a cozy treat to end a wet cold week and term 2.
If you have any unused, good condition balance bikes or scooters, we would love to take them off your hands!
