We hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing holiday break and are ready for an exciting term ahead.

As we begin the final term of the 2026 school year, there is still plenty to look forward to!

Mark your calendars for our P & F Term 4 meeting taking place next Tuesday 20th October at 5.15pm.

Our future Kindergarten students have three more transition sessions ahead, including their graduation assembly. Students preparing for high school will also attend further transition sessions.

Year 6 are excited for their excursion to Canberra and the special events marking the end of their primary school years, including their Graduation Mass. We will also celebrate the achievements of all our students at our annual Presentation Day. There are also more sporting opportunities and end-of-year celebrations to come!

Real Talk

At the end of last term, students in Years 4 – 6 took part in sessions presented by Real Talk Australia.

Years 5 and 6 explored self-worth, healthy relationships, decision-making, and the influence of media and social media. They also attended Let’s Talk: Puberty, which provided a safe space to discuss the changes of growing up.

Year 4 students attended Getting Real in the Digital World, where they learned about cyber safety, positive online choices, and the influence of media.

Real Talk Australia have recently launched Real Talk Parents, a site which includes quick reference guides, conversation starters and resources for parents: www.realtalkparents.com/armidale

Thank you to the Real Talk Australia team for sharing these valuable sessions with our students.

Year 6 vs Student Sport

Term 3 wrapped up with our annual Year 6 vs. Staff sports matches!

Across the last three Fridays of term, students and staff went head-to-head in netball, touch football, and soccer, surrounded by a loud and supportive sideline crowd. Adding to the excitement this year, during our NAIDOC Week celebrations, there was also a T-Ball game played between the staff and Indigenous Year 6 students. All games were played with wonderful sportsmanship and friendly competition.

The students secured impressive victories in soccer and T-Ball, while the staff managed to hold

onto the titles for touch football and netball. This year, we were also fortunate to have a new trophy, generously donated by Miss Kristy that was presented to our school community at assembly at the end of last term.

It’s always fantastic to see great sportsmanship and fun on display between our students and staff and hopefully highlighting a memorable moment of their time here at our school.

Staff commenced Term 4 on Monday, participating in a Staff Development Day focused on the new CHPS Syllabuses (Creative Arts, HSIE, PDHPE, and Science & Technology). They spent the day exploring frameworks and collaborating on new teaching strategies to support and inspire our students in the classroom. The staff also enjoyed sharing in the wins, reflecting on the strong student achievement and positive wellbeing results from Term 3.

Welcome Staff

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr David Anderson who joined our staff last term as Groundsperson and Miss Helen Dowling who will be working in 3 Green this term. We look forward to getting to know our newest team members and the skills and experience they will bring to our school community.
