Junior School Dougall & Bartlett is sharing the learning taking place in their class…
On Wednesday, the 25th of June, J12 and the rest of the Year 2 classes were lucky enough to go on an excursion to Bunjil Place. First, we watched a show, Ratburger. It was a great performance with many funny moments. Then we went on a tour of the library. Did you know there are over half a million books at the Bunjil Library!
The students enjoyed seeing what happens to the books behind the scenes after you put them in the returns chute. Unfortunately, due to the weather, we had to return to school early rather than have our picnic lunch at Wilson Botanic Park, but we didn’t let that spoil our day.
Here are some of the highlights, according to a few students from J12.
Hasiru – I really enjoyed visiting the library and learning that we can use our Pakenham library cards and Bunjil library.
Hartley – Seeing Ratburger was my favourite part, especially at the end when the giant rat came out to dance!
Abeera – I enjoyed watching Ratburger. It was sad when Zoe’s hamster ‘Gingernut’ dies but then she got a new pet rat called Dapper.
Callum – I really liked the end of the show when the big rat was dancing.
Bianca – The show was the best part. I liked when she got a new pet.
Garang – I liked Ratburger because it was funny when the Dad turned the bad guys into burger meat.
