Congratulations- Year 12 Class of 2025: Irreplaceable and Ready for the Future

To our graduating Year 12 students—our very own Gen Z—you now stand at the threshold of new lives filled with promise and challenge. You leave us not just with an education, but with the courage, resilience, and fortitude to navigate whatever comes next.

Born mostly in 2007, the year of Beyoncé's world wide hit "Irreplaceable," we want to impress upon you that you are, in fact, irreplaceable. Each of you is unique, gifted, and shining, a truth that remains even when you feel "ordinary," like in the current favourite in the charts- Ordinary by Alex Warren.

The Gifts of a Marian Education

During your time here, you have been given much:

  • A Foundation in Faith: Your Catholic education links you to a long tradition, providing you with a grounding in faith, love, and hope. The central aim of this College has always been to deepen your relationship with God—the way, the truth, and the life—a gift that affirms your irreplaceable worth in God's eyes.
  • Broad Learning and Growth: You have benefited from an inclusive curriculum allowing you to explore gifts in every field, from the Arts and Sciences to Applied Tech and Sport. You have also grown through camps, excursions, and competitions, and as senior students, you have served as Marian’s College leaders for the past year.
  • Resilience and Support: These final years have proven your strength and resilience. You carry with you the care and high hopes of your teachers, the unwavering love of your family and friends, and a community that will always be proud of you.

Looking Ahead

As you step into the world, remember that your education is a platform for lifelong learning. We know you are kind, caring, curious, and courageous—your own versions of superheroes.

No matter what career, study, or plan you pursue, always remember that you have your faith, your family, your friends, and this school behind you. You are loved, you are valued, and you are irreplaceable in every moment, both extraordinary and ordinary. Never forget that God has a plan for you, a plan that is always rooted in hope and love and in Living the Marian Way.

To all of our students and families at Marian Catholic College, we thank you for your support this term, wishing all families and students a safe holiday spent with those you love.
