Pastoral Care Worker - PCW 

My name is Marianne and I am the new Pastoral Care Worker supporting the wellbeing of students and families at Modbury Primary School.

My days are Wednesday and Thursday.

My role is about offering caring support in areas of need. This could involve in classroom support with learning. Being available to listen, express empathy and provide support with concerns related to bullying, anxiety, making friends, and areas related to grief and loss.

I also support families by being a caring listening support, as well as being a referral and providing information on community resources.

I support breakfast club Wednesday mornings, and run quiet activities at lunch times.

I enjoy and I am passionate about supporting people from all backgrounds and beliefs. I have a calm, kind understanding caring nature, and I am non-judgemental.

I enjoy going for nature walks, and spending time with family and friends. I have a son who is sixteen and is in year 11 at Underdale High School. We have a pet bird called Yoda.
