Holy Week and Easter 

On behalf of the SJW community, we wish you a reflective and prayerful Holy Week.  May the love and ultimate sacrifice of Jesus, remain with us and guide our interactions and encounters with all we meet. 

Vivian Frank Morell’s visit to Mt Kilimanjaro

Excursions and incursions are an engaging and hands-on part of all student learning, providing them with opportunities to spark thinking or apply new learning.   

In a recent email from St Jude’s in Tanzania, teachers shared Vivian (our sponsor student) recent excursion to Mt Kilamanjaro. 

“F1 students visited Kilimanjaro International Airport to learn practically what they learned theoretically in class. This excursion was planned to help students learn, among many others, weather, Aviation languages and transport issues as per curriculum in our school. 

Field trips are an essential part of students' learning, encouraging an inquisitive mind and a better understanding and appreciation for their natural environment. Thanks to you and your ongoing Scholarship of Vivian, trips like this are made possible for St Jude's students.” 

What an incredible experience for Vivian and her classmates.   

Thank you again to our community for your ongoing support of Vivian as she continues to achieve great success in her education. 

We Have also received a letter from Vivian.  While we receive information and updates about how her learning is going, we very rarely hear from Vivan herself.  SJW students will have an opportunity to respond to this letter and write to Vivian’s classmates early next term.
