Dear Families,
On Wednesday 18th of March, there will be a Parent Information Evening on Helping Keep Kids Safe Online. It will begin at 6pm and will be held in the Italian Room - we are offering Childminding to ensure that as many families come along as possible, for this important evening. If you have any questions you'd like covered please email me: kharris@shpreston.catholic.edu.au or there will be time to ask on the night!
SACRAMENTS
There has been a change in date for our Confirmation it is now on:
Friday 22nd of May at 5.30pm.
This is for Baptised Catholic students who have previously received the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. At Sacred Heart Parish, Confirmation is celebrated every 2nd year - so Year 5 and 6 students will make their Confirmation this year. A note will be sent home with more information about Confirmation in the coming weeks.
The Sacrament of First Eucharist will be on Sunday 21st of June at 10.30am, during theSacred Heart Parish Mass. This is for Year 4 students and baptised catholic students from Year 5 and 6 who may not have received this sacrament and wish to do so.
First Reconciliation is for students in Year 3 and will be held in September. We are confirming the date with Father Aloysius and add this date to the calendar when it is confirmed.
LENT - Project Compassion
This Lent, our school community is supporting Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, uniting in faith and action to make a lasting impact for vulnerable communities around the world. In our classrooms, we’ll be sharing four inspiring stories of resilience and strength, showing the kind of transformative change that we can play a part in achieving.
At Sacred Heart we will be holding a fundraising event as part of our Harmony Day event to raise funds for Project Compassion. Donations can also be made through donation boxes in classrooms.
