Responsible Pet Ownership Incursion

On Wednesday the 4th March, the Year 3’s were lucky enough to have the Responsible Pet Ownership Incursion come to our school. Bernie and her dog Poppy came in to teach us the correct way to interact with a dog, how to read a dog’s body language, look for dangers, what to do if it is an unfriendly dog and how to ask to pat a dog correctly.

Bernie taught us how to be safe around dogs. We got to sing a song and some of us were even lucky enough to get to pat Poppy. The students thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learnt a lot about being a responsible pet owner.

Well done to all the Year 3 students for displaying all our School Values during our Incursion!!!
