Industrial Stop Work Action

Gallery Image

The Australian Education Union has called on its members (teachers and ES staff) to take strike action on Tuesday, 24 March 2026.   This will result in many of our teachers and ES staff not being at school on that day. If your child’s teacher is taking part in the Stopwork, your child’s class will not be required at school on that day.

We ask that you prepare for alternative care for your child/children on this date if required.

Parents will be notified via a Compass post after 5.00pm on Friday, which classes are affected.

Cross Country

Cross country for our Year 3-6 students was held at school last Wednesday 11th March.

Thank you to Andreas Jordanidis for his organisation, to the staff who supported the event and to the parents who came to spectate.

We received a positive email from one of our parents who did attend….

Good morning, I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for all of your hard work in organising the cross country yesterday. The course was well organised and it was great to see so many students encouraging each other along the course. Another parent was sitting beside me and got so excited when a song was played in Arabic! It’s the little things like that, that make me happy that my children are part of the Greenvale Primary School community.
