Principal's Report

Debbie Oliver

Welcome to Term 2!!

I hope that everybody enjoyed a safe and happy Easter.  Term 2 has been a busy term so far with several events taking place across the college.

On Thursday 25th April 2024, ANZAC Day, Seymour College school leaders attended both the dawn service and the 10:00am service that was held in Anzac Avenue.  Our school captains, Emily and Abbie addressed a large crowd about the significance of ANZAC Day and the sacrifice of all those who served as well as those who remained at home.

On Friday the 26th of April, Seymour College conducted a whole school ceremony to commemorate ANZAC Day.   We were joined by several members of the Australian Defence Force including a Catafalque Party, as well as Member for Euroa, Annabelle Cleeland MP.  Sargeant Neil Mackay, parent of student Ella Mackay in Year 12, spoke about his recent service in Egypt and the history of the Anzacs.

Our Seymour College Open Day is taking place on Thursday 2nd of May 2024, with school tours from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, followed by an information session beginning at 5:00pm in our library.
